A few weeks ago I did a shoot for Elevate Trampoline park up in McKinney. We got some really fun shots. I’m totally jealous that kids have trampoline parks these days.

Good to know my new Tenba monitor air case is big enough for a medium sized dog.
This bird was really into our shoot today. Hopefully it wasn’t a secret spy from a rival magazine.
Back in February I shot a job for Big Fix for Big D with The Marketing Arm. The images are starting to run and they look great. I managed to chase down a few Dart buses yesterday to get some shots of the finished product.
Big thanks to my rep See Pictures for all the production help and Becky Beals for the great art direction.

Here are a couple iphone photos from yesterdays shoot at Top Golf. It’s hard to beat a day job like this when its sunny and 75 degrees out side.

Final stretch of retouching photos = lots of coffee today. #ijustburnedmytongue
Last year I did a shoot for Ft. Worth Oral Surgery. We did a series of portraits of people “happy with their smiles.” Their website is under construction, but once the new site launches, these images will be incorporated in the design.
Earlier this month I shot some more portraits for the guys at Steadfast Creative. They added a consultant/sr project director, a designer and a “wordsmither” to the team, so we had to update their site. The new images were shot with really great clouds in the background so there wasn’t too much re-touching involved. If you remember a blog entry from a few months ago, I shot similar headshots for them on a gray background and had to drop in a sky in post. To see more of their work check out steadfastcreative.com.
I’ve been working on a really cool student project for Stuart Freemans portfolio. He came up with the concept of sneezing during important photos that are stuck with you for a long time. Here is the desctiption Stuart sent me….
The idea would be an ongoing campaign for Benadryl with a series of print ads all sharing the headline of “Put your best face forward.”
The layouts would basically show everyday forms of ID, drivers license, passport, work ID, etc. The payoff in all of these is the picture’s taken mid sneeze.
I love the idea, and I think this is a really cool concept. We are working on photographing the backgrounds that these portraits will eventually be dropped into. Once we finish the final layouts I will post those as well. But for now take your vitamin C, wash your hands, and enjoy the portraits.
Behind the scenes of the latest Steadfast Creative shoot.
I finally put this video together from the shoot I did for the web design firm Steadfast Creative. We knew we were going to have a pretty big mess on our hands so we shot this one in my backyard instead of in a studio. The only problem was our “models” were soaking wet on super cold day outside. Luckily these web designers are as tough as crab fisherman.
I just finished the retouching on a job I shot for my friends over at Steadfast Creative. They are a web design agency out of Ft. Worth, specializing in being awesome (in my opinion). Steadfast has always used an anchor as their logo, so we wanted to focus on a nautical theme for the photography. We based this shoot off of their slogan, “your anchor in the uncertain sea of web design.”
Luckily, we did the shoot during the first cold front of the year. We didn’t have to fake being freezing cold while dumping buckets of water (mixed with laundry detergent) on the guys. It turned out great though. You can see the chill in their skin tone, which would be pretty realistic had we shot this on a ship off of the coast Alaska.
I meant to post these photos last week but I went on vacation instead. Now, its back to the grind.
Here are a couple shots I did for St. Regis Aspen earlier this month. The hotel was awesome and the landscape around it was perfect. Locations like this make my job easy.
Last week I went to Aspen to photograph interiors and lifestyle shots for St. Regis. The hotel was incredible, and it turned out to be a great time of year to go since all the trees were changing colors. I’ll post some of the work from St. Regis next week, but for now, here are a couple images from the drive up.
